Friday – Sunday 25-27th: Mt Goondicum Frog Camp
Following on from the great success of our first frog camp at Mt Goondicum near Monto in December 2017, both Rob and Nadia from the Goondicum Pastoral Co. and the QFS were very keen for another frog camp! The Second camp is scheduled for the 25-27 January 2019 (Friday – Sunday), allowing camp attendees to get back in time for the Australia Day holiday on the Monday. The hope is that the later scheduled camp will fall following wet weather that tends to occur later in Summer – but we shall see!
Accommodation is provided, however numbers are strictly limited! Those who attend are asked to BYO breakfast and lunch, as morning and afternoon tea and dinner will be kindly provided. Microwave and general kitchen facilities are provided.
Other essential items to bring are hat, sunscreen, water bottles, gumboots, head torch (ideal, or hand held torch). During the daytime we will be treated to some of Mt Goondicum’s spectacular sights including the enormous gorges and sightings of threatened brush-tailed rock-wallabys.
Further details will be provided closer to the date so stay tuned.
To RSVP, refer to the email sent to all members in late December 2018.
